Every year, Calahan holds its annual Jog-A-Thon fundraiser. Led by our fabulous fourth grade teacher, Ms. Marquez, the Jog-A-Thon allows us to raise money to fund various instructional programs. This year's theme is - "Readers Are Leaders!" All funds will allow us to purchase materials to enrich our language arts program. A special thank you to the staff, students, parents, and volunteers that make our fundraiser possible!

Students are encouraged to return their permission and pledge sheet, allowing them to walk, jog, or run around our school track for 20 minutes. With music playing by our wonderful DJ, students enjoy great exercise, as they are cheered on by other students, parents, and volunteers. Following their workout, students are invited to enjoy some delicious refreshments, including water, orange slices, and popsicles. Classes and spectators have an opportunity to take a keepsake photo in front of our Jog-A-Thon banner. Great memories for all!

In addition to fun and exercise, students who raise $25 or more receive a surprise treat and free admission to an afternoon movie at Calahan. Students who raise $40 or more receive the treat, movie, and a custom-designed Calahan Jog-A-Thon t-shirt. All participants receive refreshments and a certificate.

Thank you for your continued support of our annual Jog-A-Thon!
