Halloween Parade

Calahan is holding its annual Halloween Parade! We ask that you adhere to the following guidelines in order to provide for the safety and security of all students:

• The parade is at 8:10 am.

• Costumes may be worn to school. We ask that you take your child's costume home.

• Face paint may be worn during the parade.

• Masks may be worn during the parade, then must be removed immediately after the parade.

• Masks cannot cover the entire face.

• No props or equipment that are unsafe; even replica weapons are not to be brought to school.

• Costumes which impair a student's vision or movement are not allowed.

• Costumes may not be demeaning to any person or group based on ethnic group, race, religion, nationality, disability, gender, or gender identity at the school.

• Students who wish not to participate in the parade will participate in a different fun activity not related to Halloween with members of our staff.

• We cannot be responsible for damage to costumes.

• School will be dismissed at 1:25 pm


These guidelines have been developed to allow students to participate in enjoyable, positive, and controlled activities while maintaining student safety. On behalf of our staff, we thank you for following these guidelines.
